Important Update

Happy New Year!

I have some exciting news that has been in the works for a few weeks, and, now that we’ve made it through the holidays, it’s time to start sharing the news, as it may effect you as one of my clients.

After 20 years of working mostly as the solo creative at Lime Creative, the time has arrived for a big career transition. I’m pleased to announce that I’ve been offered a full-time position at Messiah University as Creative Director, which I’ll be starting on January 26.

Because this is role comes with a heavy workload that will require my full attention and focus, I am suspending my work as Lime Creative for the foreseeable future. Please know that I’ll be doing everything I can to ensure a smooth transition.

Below, I’ve detailed the transition plan and other information about how things will work as we move forward:

• Quarterly Website Check-Up Contracts

If your site is currently under contract with Lime for Quarterly Website Check-Ups, that can continue for now. I plan to continue managing any websites currently under contract for as long as you’d like to continue hosting with me. I am anticipating that I’ll be able to make periodic simply changes to your site if needed during the regular quarterly website checkups.

That said, I will no longer be available to offer tech support or website updates at a quick-turnaround. I recommend that you think about contracting a website manager if your site requires regular management outside of the contracted quarterly check-ups.

If you’d like to move your site to a new host, please let me know before January 16 so I can assist with the move with your new host.

• Open Design & Web Projects

If you have a design project currently under contract, nothing changes with that project.

We’ll finish it together as planned, front-loading as much of it as possible into the next three weeks. I’ll send a follow-up email to each client with open projects so we can make sure that we’re all on the same page. If you have questions, please let me know.

• New Projects

I’m sorry, but I am not able to take on any new long-form projects at this time, but, if you have small projects or updates that can be completed quickly, it’s possible that I’ll be able to take it on for you in these next two weeks. Please contact me with project details as soon as possible to see if I can get your project into the schedule.

IMPORTANT: I will not be taking on any new projects after January 16.

• Print Management

If I’ve previously managed print production for you or your organization, I’m unfortunately not going to be able to continue assisting with that. This includes things like letterhead, envelopes, business cards, name tags, note cards, brochures, etc. Upon request, I’m happy to provide you with whatever details are needed for you to manage your print production needs with your in-house team or to pass along to another print manager.

• Design Files

Nearly all print projects have been designed in Adobe InDesign, and I’m happy to make sure that you have all native files as needed. I fully expect that many of you will have another designer pick up where we leave off and having the native files from your last few projects will be vital to making a smooth transition.

If you need specific project files, please let me know, and I’ll be happy to send you a DropBox link for download. You will need Adobe InDesign to use, edit, update the files.

NOTE: If we have a standing agreement for me to upload your native files to your DropBox or OneDrive, I’ll take care of your items myself. You don’t need to provide a list. 🙂

• What will happen to ICHTHYS Press and LimeAid?

ICHTHYS Press will continue as usual; my goal of releasing a new book each quarter until the entire Bible is available in study companions remains.

As for LimeAid, it’s in a holding pattern for now. Once I see how I function within the new role, I may be able to pick it back up as a ministry in my free time or in tandem with other creatives. Stay tuned!
